Smart Delegation: Leveraging AI and Human Judgment in Admin Workflows

The Challenge

Audience: Corporate administrative professionals and team leads

Responsibilities: Instructional Design, eLearning development, process mapping, scenario writing

Tools Used: Articulate Rise 360, ChatGPT 4o, Canva

Administrative workflows are often bogged down by repetitive, low-value tasks that drain employee productivity. While many organizations are eager to adopt AI, they lack the training to effectively delegate tasks to AI while maintaining the "human-in-the-loop" oversight necessary for accuracy and security. I developed this course to demystify AI-assisted delegation and provide a framework for balancing automation with human expertise.

The Solution

Using Articulate Rise 360, I created a highly interactive, mobile-responsive training module that teaches employees how to identify tasks suitable for AI, prompt effectively, and apply a "quality control" filter to the AI's output.

The Design Process

  • Scenario-Based Learning: I integrated realistic "Delegation Scenarios" where learners must decide whether a task is best handled by an AI assistant or a human administrator.

  • Interactive Toolkits: The course features downloadable "AI Prompting Templates" and a "Delegation Rubric" that learners can reference long after the course ends.

  • Responsive Development: By leveraging Rise 360, I ensured the training is accessible on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, meeting the needs of a mobile, hybrid workforce.

The Results

This training shifts the mindset from "AI as a threat" to "AI as a teammate." By the end of the module, learners demonstrate proficiency in identifying "high-leverage" tasks for AI delegation, ultimately reclaiming their time for high-value strategic work.
